Community consultation now open for the next stage of Go Cycle corridors!

Community consultation for the next stage of Go Cycle corridors has begun. It will run from 17 October 2016 to 17 November 2016, for the following routes:

  • Kingston to New Malden
  • Kingston to Kingston Vale, and
  • Kingston to Tolworth.
     

The Council's website has consultation material - which can be accessed via www.kingston.gov.uk/gocycleconsultations.

A number of exhibitions are also planned to be held across the routes:

Kingston to New Malden:

  • New Malden Library, Saturday 22 October, 11am - 3pm
  • AFC Wimbledon (Cherry Red Records Stadium, Main Function Suite), Thursday 3 November, 4pm - 8pm
     

Kingston to Kingston Vale:

  • Tiffin School (The Judge Theatre, Dempsey Centre), Tuesday 1 November, 4:30pm - 8:30pm
  • Kingston University, Kingston Hill Campus (Room KHBS0027), Saturday 5 November, 11am - 3pm
     

Kingston to Tolworth:

  • Kingston University, Penrhyn Road Campus Lobby, Thursday 27 October, 11am - 3pm
  • Surbiton Library, Saturday 29 October, 11am - 3pm
     

Joint Kingston to New Malden and Kingston to Kingston Vale:

  • Tiffin School (The Judge Theatre, Dempsey Centre), Saturday 12 November, 11am - 3pm

Become a cycling instructor

If you love cycling, you might consider becoming a cycling instructor. Whether you would like to make it a full-time job or you just want to pass on some skills at your local school or youth club, undertaking the National Standard Instructor training is the first step.

Kingston is the only London borough recognised as an instructor training organisation (ITO). Since 2007, we have trained more than 300 instructors for local authorities and independent providers.

Get involved?

Cycling is a fantastic way to exercise, travel, and enjoy the great outdoors. Wind in the hair (under your helmet of course), sunglasses on, and a picnic in your bag. However, not everyone sees it this way.

Therefore, CycleKingston is appealing to you to share the good, the bad (and the ugly?!) We want to hear your cycling experiences, news and showcase success stories along the way too.
