Public Dr Bike - Worcester Park

The Kingson/Sutton combined Cycle Team now offers free Dr Bike safety and maintenance checks in both boroughs. Today's event will take place on Central Road in Worcester Park outside the Police Office.
The 'Doctors' will comprehensively check any bike brought to them, do minor repairs and give advice on more major work that may need to be done, as well as any general maintenance.
Come along to a session, make sure you're roadworthy and robbery-free and find out more about what's happening to cycling in Sutton and Kingston. Plus there will be full details of a wide range of free cycle training, maintenance classes, social rides and walks.

Bike Maintenance Course

Kingston Council's Cycling Team is offering practical bike maintenance training suitable for those of us who may be unsure about how to adjust our brakes, have noisy gears, dread fixing a puncture etc etc! These are practical, hands on workshops for beginners led by fully qualified bike mechanics.
Topics covered include:
- Complete an ‘M Check’. This will allow you to check key parts of your bike for wear and nip in the bud any developing problems.
- Adjust and balance your brakes and replace your brake pads.
- Make minor adjustments to your saddle, handlebars, brake levers etc. that will make your riding experience more comfortable.
- Remove your rear wheel, inner-tube and tyre and repair a puncture.
Cost:
The course costs £15 per person to cover the venue costs.

Women on Wheels

Rides are organised on the last Sunday of every month (check calendar). No need to book just turn up! Pass the word!
The ride is a great opportunity to gain confidence on your bike in a fun and sociable environment. Led by experienced Kingston Council cyclist instructors, the ride lasts for two to three hours and takes place in quieter routes at a leisurely pace. It includes a refreshment break.
Meet at 10am next to the Falling Telephone Boxes outside Wilkinson's, west end of Old London Road.
